When designing our JIS square taper bottom bracket, we made sure we designed it to last for a long time. It is well sealed against the elements and it has a patented design that makes it impossible to over tighten the bottom bracket and damage the bearings. Durability and light weight is assured, thanks to its carbon body.

To make this one of the lightest bottom brackets on the market, we use a CNC machined hollow axle. The standard version uses a cromo axle but if you are serious about weight savings, it is also available with a titanium axle. And for those who appreciate a very smooth bottom bracket, you can get this bottom bracket fitted with TOKEN ceramic TBT bearings.

This bottom bracket comes in sizes to fit double and triple road bikes, as well as triple mountain bikes and is for use with Shimano compatible cranks.

JIS 122.5

I purchased the TK868 with chromo axle and premium bearings. Previously I was running a shimano UN300 series and so far I have definitely noticed the improvement. I’m a daily rider so time will tell but initially the TK868 is smoother and performs better under load than the shimano. My real measure has been that along my route I have a moderate 5% incline hill that is a few hundred yards in length. The shimano un300 straight out of the box creaks up this hill. The Token has not made a sound and so far I have increased my average speed by 1 mph.. not a lot I know, but I do feel that improvement on the road and after my rides.

New bottom brackets!

Bought two Token BB's for my worn out FSA's on our Rodriguez tandem. The Token's are very nicely built with super smooth bearings. Their design seems to prevent any inadvertant bearing preload when installing. Also each side has an additional seal ( besides the sealed bearings) to keep crud and water intrusion from occurring. We have put a couple hundred miles so far, but with the build quality I expect them to be long lasting. In closing, I did have a glitch with the order as to what they had in stock, but it was handled much to my satisfaction, so kudos to customer service.
