The tool works well. I read that a lot of other users were having issues with the other side slipping while tightening with the tool on the one side. I found that using a little rubbing alcohol to clean the receiving area helped prevent this. My only complaint is that for such a specific tool. Token should include this with the BB90 insert as a set. This is such a pain to match part with tool. Just charge a little more and include everything.
I used the tool to replace the BB90 bottom bracket in my 2019 Trek Checkpoint. The bottom bracket started to creak and groan so I installed the Token thread together bottom bracket to solve this problem. Unfortunately, my non drive side bearing recess was a bit too lose to "press in" so when I applied torque to the drive side with the bottom bracket tool, the non drive side of the threaded BB would simply spin, not allowing me to reach the final torque number. I understand that my situation was likely not normal but having a way to counter hold the non drive side while applying the full torque would have been nice. I solved my issue by applying Loctite 530 to the non drive side, allowing it to cure a bit and then using the well made, precision tool to complete the job. I have about 100 miles on the new BB and everything is silent so far.
Ordered the ninja bottom bracket and tool for a BB90 bottom bracket. Was not provided the appropriate spacers based on the page I was directed to when I selected the BB on the website. I reached out to customer service about not having the spacers and it took them 2 weeks to get back to me. When they did, they did not even specify which spacers I required, so I replied asking specifically what I needed. This was over 2 weeks ago and i still have not heard back. If you order from this company just hope you get everything you need in one shot because they do not seem interested in helping people source the correct parts
Nice looking tool well-made. As I was tightening the bb the tool kept slipping. I could not fully torture down the bb. Which caused a constant clicking. The groves in the bb were damaged.
I have a Trek bike with press fit bearings. I ordered the replacement BB3724R bottom bracket along with the installation tool. I hand tightened the bottom bracket in the frame and then when I went to tighten with the tool, both sides spin, which didn't allow me to tighten to the correct Newton Meter. Since there is no contact number, I reached out thru email multiple times and asked how to properly tighten or if I need to order the oversized version. I never received a response and it has been over a week. The product looks good, I just want to make sure it is installed properly before using.
